Forest Ecology Lab at College of Life Sciences of Hebei University is inviting applications for positions of:
Professors/ Associate Professors/ Assistant Professors/ Researchers (including postdocs) in Forest Ecology
We are looking for outstanding individuals with an excellent track record and research expertise in an area that links abiotic (climate and soil) and biotic (above- and below-ground diversity and composition) drivers of ecosystem functions, processes and properties, such as aboveground biomass, demographic processes, productivity, stability and multifunctionality. We are also interested in candidates having a strong background of global meta-analysis on plant diversity, structure and functions and/or global change ecology as well as GIS/RS techniques. Other outstanding candidates having related research interest in the broad field of ecology (such as microbial ecology; macroecology; community ecology; animal ecology, etc.) are encouraged to contact us.
The successful candidates are expected to develop an internationally recognized research program and to obtain competitive grants from external sources (such as National Natural Science Foundation of China). The selected candidate is expected to guide M.Sc. and Ph.D. students and to participate in the teaching activities offered by the College.
Forest Ecology Lab at College of Life Sciences has excellent research facilities. A start-up package as well as continued core funding for positions and consumables will be available within a dynamic research environment.
